Fresh, locally grown produce and handcrafted goods from the heart of Black Hawk County. Taste the difference that real farming makes.
The Evansdale Farmers Market has been a cornerstone of the Black Hawk County community for over two decades. What began as a handful of neighbors selling surplus garden produce has blossomed into one of the region's most beloved weekly gatherings.
Every Saturday morning, our vendors — family farmers, artisan bakers, and craft makers — set up along Lafayette Road, offering everything from heirloom tomatoes and free-range eggs to handmade soaps and freshly baked sourdough. This isn't just a place to shop. It's where your food has a name, your dollars stay local, and every purchase connects you to the land this community calls home.
Every item on our stalls tells a story — of the soil it grew in, the hands that tended it, and the families that share it.
Heirloom tomatoes, sweet corn, leafy greens, root vegetables, and fruit — all harvested at peak ripeness from surrounding Iowa farms.
Apples, peaches, strawberries, blueberries, and seasonal tree fruit from orchards across the region.
Free-range eggs, raw milk, artisan cheeses, grass-fed beef, and pasture-raised poultry from local livestock farmers.
Sourdough loaves, cinnamon rolls, jams, jellies, honey, and house-made sauces from our artisan bakers and preserves makers.
Bouquets, dried arrangements, and fresh culinary herbs — perfect for your kitchen or your table centerpiece.
Handmade soaps, candles, pottery, woven textiles, and unique gifts from local artisans and craftspeople.
Our main market runs every Saturday from early summer through fall. We also host special events throughout the year — holiday markets, seed swaps, and cooking demonstrations.
We're located just minutes from downtown Waterloo, with easy access off Highway 65. Ample free parking is available on-site, and the market is fully wheelchair accessible.
